This LUT enhances the greys and mutes the brighter tones, perfectly suited for overcast skies, dramatic landscapes, or any scene that demands an emotive, melancholic feel.

To ensure the best results:

The opacity of the LUTs is adjustable, allowing you to control the intensity and contrast to match your unique style. I recommend setting opacity between 70-90% and fine-tuning the contrast, highlights, and vibrance to get the look you desire.

Though these LUTs work with any footage, for optimal results, use clips shot in a flat picture profile (e.g. LOG C, SLOG, or C-LOG), convert it with your camera manufacturer's Rec709 conversion LUT for your specific color profile for color accuracy and then apply one of the Rec709 LUTs from this collection. If you have a Sony camera, you can use my SLOG3 LUTs directly.

How to use them?

If you find the LUTs overly intense, modify your contrast, highlights, and vibrance first, and then adjust the LUT opacity. Correct your white balance before applying the LUT to achieve the best color representation.

My suggested approach is to first apply your camera manufacturer's Rec709 conversion LUT for your specific color profile. Then apply one of the Rec709 LUTs from this collection for optimal color accuracy.

Absolutely! My LUTs, particularly the Rec709 versions, have been rigorously tested on various brands including Canon, Sony, RED, Arri, and Blackmagic to ensure broad compatibility. For the best results, pair these LUTs with your manufacturer's Rec709 conversion LUT, freely available on their websites.
